| The Oakwood Café has been in operation in Winnipeg for over fourteen years. They wanted a fresh look to their menu, and as well wanted to make their breakfast menu separate. The were adding many items to their menus, so it was quite the expansion. The owner wanted to incorporate an “oak leaf” theme, so we decided to use real images of leaves rather than just graphics. The look is both earthy and playful, yet restful. This required full colour printing, but we and the owner think it was worth it, for this classy and terrific new look. The breakfast menu is a front and back, whereas the main menu is a tri-fold, and both have been laminated to make them durable. | We designed the large menu cover, as well as snack menus and tent cards, for Barristers Lounge in the Best Western Charterhouse Hotel here in Winnipeg. The colours and shapes of the graphic design were chosen to complement the recently renovated décor in Barristers Lounge. We think they look relaxed and inviting, not too masculine nor too feminine, and very modern, just the image Barristers was looking for. |
Here are several more menu cover concepts produced by Stage Right Design. From whimsical to serious, from flashy to subdued, from colourful to more sedate, we think they all convey in a graphical sense what the name of the restaurant wishes to say. |
The Oakwood Café needed something for their younger clientele! We came up with this children’s menu, which is also a colouring page. There are four different ones, so that the children can colour something different each time they visit the restaurant. The back page of this menu features riddles, a connect-the-dots game, a maze game, and a place for a child to create his or her own drawing as well.
