This was designed to be the cover of a guestbook for Mark Weissman's 40th birthday party. The birthday honoree is a big fan of musical theatre, having appeared in a number of productions himself. The idea was inspired by a magazine cover we designed some time ago. This guestbook cover is made up of posters of many Broadway musicals, all of them Mr. Weissman's favourites. The client sent us several pictures of Mr. Weissman, at various ages, and we deleted backgrounds and cropped these images, then placed them in strategic spots within this cover (look closely!) This was designed and produced in Winnipeg, and shipped to the client, just outside of New York City, in New Jersey.

This was a program we designed and layed out for
a recent benefit that took place at Osborne Village's famed Gas
Station Theatre. (The cover artwork was supplied by Sharon Johnson.)
The entire programme was actually eight pages, and was completed
within a three-day deadline! |
 |
There
was a lot of information to fit into this two-page section.
We like how it looks: well layed out and balanced, easy
to read, and no awkward empty spaces. |

This was a special insert for the Gas Station Theatre programme.
At the time of their fund-raising benefit, there was an exhibit
in the theatre lobby featuring original art from several artists.
The theatre wanted to include information about the paintings and
the artists within the programme. We came up with the idea of putting
each artist's biographical information within a picture frame.
This made it much more exciting than just in regular textual form.
It's much more eye-catching, and better highlights each individual
artist. |
